High Strength Spiral Cables – Flexibility and Flex Life
Flexibility and flex life are qualities of LOROM spiral cables from LOROM. These cables are intended to be used in applications where cables and cords have to withstand repetitive flexing.
Conductors and insulating materials are coiled. Depending on the insulating material that is chosen, the spiral cables can also be highly resistant to both abrasion and chemical attacks. They can be over-molded and fully terminated to connectors.
Examples of Markets and Applications we Supply Solutions to are:
- Hand Held devices (i.e. Bar Code Scanners)
- POS- Point of Sales
- Automatic Laboratory Analyzers
- Medical Equipment
- Robotics
- Automation Systems

Any standard primary wire and/or LOROM special wires can be assembled into spiral cables. We manufacture a complete range of wires and cables, insulated with the most advanced insulation materials such as:
- PVC, PE, PP
- Polyester (Hytrel, Arnitel)
- Fluorethylene Propylene (FEP)
- Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE)
- Ethylenetetrafluorethylene (ETFE)
- Perfluoralkoxy (PFA)
- Polyimide
- Fluorinated Elastomers
- TPE – TPU
- Irradiated and cross-linked Elastomers
With our extensive cable assembly technologies, coiled cords can be over molded and terminated to any type of connector.
We assemble spiral cables with a variety of types of signal and power components within the cable, defined by the customer application, including but not limited to:
- Signal wire and Power wires
- Wire-wrap wires
