X-Ray for Plating Thickness
Our state-of-the-art X-ray fluorescence equipment is capable of measuring coatings and plating thickness. Spectrometers offer solutions for a wide variety of coating/plating applications.
From single-layer measurements Au/Ni, to very complex multi-layer alloy coatings and composition. We can analyze a three-element alloy coating on an intermediate layer of a five element base material as for example Au-Cu-Cd over Ni on a Stainless Steel base.
Spectrophotometer
Short development cycles and colour matching of cable jackets and injection moulded parts are very often key factors for parts used in consumer and industrial applications that require complex colours to match branding or trends. Our lab offers measurement tools that allow us to precisely measure and replicate exact colours using Spectrophotometer and associated software.
We get the Colour Right
Our advantage is relying on accurate instruments and test equipment rather than, like most of our competitors, that rely on non-spectral devices or visual inspection for pass/fail methods.
Colour Match Measurement
Our chemists and extensive chemistry labs are using rotational rheometry as a powerful method for measurement of complex shear rheology across all LOROM compounds, resins and material types.
Ensuring product stability and performance by discerning structural and compositional changes of materials are critical in controlling the factors for flow and deformation properties.
Our lab is further equipped with Specialized Mooney rubber test equipment viscometer rheometer:
- A determination of the features of compounded rubber during the early stage or final stages of vulcanization.
- International standards such as ASTM D5099 – 08
RHEO Meter
Fluids Testing
We have extensive abilities in fluid testing, covering a wide array of products and applications from initial proto types for first article functional testing to qualification testing for compliance and verification testing.
Our fluid testing facilities are equipped with computerized data acquisition, reduction and analysis equipment for monitoring the functional characteristics of specimens during testing.
Fluid tests capabilities include:
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic – Static/Dynamic
- Flow – Gas, Liquid, Fuel, Propellant, Oxidizer, Chemical, Hazardous, Water, Steam
- Temperature – High/Low Gas Flows
- Cryogenic – Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Hydrogen, LNG
Screening for hazardous substances is performed at incoming inspection, during the manufacturing process and before shipping – or even at our vendor’s facility if necessary.
Our in house RoHS lab has the capability to determine the level of the following first four substances restricted by the new directive that came into effect on December 2011 for RoHS compliance in component materials.
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI))
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
Our in house lab helps customers ensure RoHS compliance by performing quick reliable RoHS testing and analysis of component materials for verified levels of these restricted substances.
RoHS compliance testing is performed in our lab using spectroscopy and wet chemistry methods to determine the concentrations of these RoHS substances in test samples.
All RoHS testing results are fully documented in Certified Test Reports for our customers’ records.
Full test capability for the European Union’s REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemical Substances – EC1907/2006)
